LANDSCAPE DESIGN
MY LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROCESS
It’s important to me when embarking on a landscape design for you to understand the steps and deliverables at each point in the process. The landscape design process generally takes 5-8 weeks to complete depending on the size of the space being designed. Here’s what you can expect from the process.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
We’ll walkthrough the space, in-person or virtually, that you are looking to design. We’ll leave this meeting with measurements and a general idea of likes and dislikes of the current space and what you want to see for its future. You will receive a formal bid after this consultation.
Step 2: Inspiration Board
The first step in the design process is the creation of an inspiration board for the space. This will show you the general feel we’ll achieve with your new landscaped space.
Step 3: Design Renderings & Plant Selections
Based on your feedback of the inspiration board, I’ll draft initial landscape renderings with a selection of plants for the areas that you want to landscape.
As part of your initial renderings, I will offer two options that will work for each planting section in your design with photos and notes.
Step 4: Final Renderings & Planting Map
Based on your plant selections, I will develop final renderings that will show your layout and selections in a 3D format. Your final plant selection sheet will include the quantity of each plant you will need to achieve your vision, as well as a planting map to indicate where each selection should be planted.
